Session work
I can help with a lost drummer for a live show or tour. I’ll drum (almost) every type of heavy music, put in some personal flavor (or not) if desired, I can deliver drums, and will have my own transportation.
Same for studio work: I can help writing drums, and help with recording drums. I work together with cultural center Astrant in Ede, which has a recording studio which I can recommend (see here).
Lessons
I give drum lessons focusing on metal!
I have quite some experience teaching at a college level and from that I’ve learned that teaching is a great way to learn things yourself. Ergo, I’d love to offer lessons for every genre or level, but of course I understand that people won’t go to me for lessons on jazz of mambo’s. But I would love to help every student of percussion reach new levels in metal drumming!
First and foremost though: remember that getting good at drumming mostly takes patience and dedication, and there are no shortcuts to becoming good at everything. There are ways to fuck it up with bad technique, definitely! But shortcuts: no.
Drum writing and midi-packs
As mentioned under studio-work, I can help with writing drums, or humanizing existing midi-drums.
I also write midi-packs from time to time, and you can download those freely here. Most midi-packs are fairly simple, and I generally don’t create midi-packs that I’ve written for other bands.
I offer these freely, but I hope people who appreciate these are nice enough to provide me with credit on this. If not, you suck, but whatever, do what you want.
